Come and enjoy one of our “Musical Salon Series at Rough Point” evenings with the exceptional artistry of violinist Geneva Lewis, pianist Audrey Vardanega and visual artist Alastair Dacey.
Praised by Musical America and the BBC as an “artist to watch,” Geneva Lewis has been captivating audiences with her expressive playing and commanding stage presence. Audrey Vardanega has graced some of the world’s most respected venues, including Merkin Hall at The Kaufman Music Center, Teatro del Libertador San Martín, and the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. Alastair Dacey, recipient of the Jane Peterson Memorial Award at the 92nd Hudson Valley Art Association National Exhibition, is recognized for his evocative and masterful paintings that reflect both technical excellence and emotional depth.
Together, Lewis and Vardanega will present an exquisite program of chamber music masterpieces:
Schumann – Three Romances Schubert – Sonatina in G minor Brahms – Violin Sonata No. 1
These works showcase violin and piano in intimate musical dialogue, weaving themes and colors in a way only great chamber music can. Schumann, Schubert, and Brahms are bound by both historical and artistic threads: Brahms deeply admired Schumann, and all three shared a Romantic-era devotion to lyricism, emotional depth, and artistic beauty.
