Come join us for our next program at the beautiful Belmont Chapel in the heart of Newport! A solo violin recital program that looks into the theme of perpetual motion. This concert will feature both Baroque and modern violins and compositions by Bach, Bartok, Bononcini, Eccles, Glass, Matteis, and Tessa Lark. Lun Li is an exceptional violinist committed to creating thought-provoking, boundary-pushing concert experiences for audiences around the world. Lun won a First Prize in the 2021 Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, The Paul A. Lun made his NYC recital debut at Merkin Concert Hall and his Washington, DC recital debut at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater. He also made his concerto debut at Lincoln Center last season.

The concert features three paintings by Alastair Dacey that beautifully complement the repertoire’s theme of perpetual motion and timelessness, inviting the audience to experience the dynamic flow and movement not only in music but also in visual art as their eyes travel across the canvases.

Alastair Dacey is a London-born artist formally trained at the Rhode Island School of Design, Ingbretson Studios in New Hampshire, and Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy. Renowned for his precise draughtsmanship and focus on portraiture and the human figure, his work aligns with the 19th-century aesthetic tradition and is included in notable collections such as the St. Botolph Club and the New Hampshire State House.
